Yoga Asanas and Postures
Asanas are the third part of Yoga. Through yoga asanas, we get control over our body, thereby making it disease-free and of stable health. Therefore, we must practice asanas bodily and mentally till we are able to get highest quality of power. Yoga literature describes a number of asanas and pranayams (postures and breathing exercises), by doing which the stamina of body and mind increases.
The body gets cleansed by following Yoga Rituals* (Shatkarma). Asanas make the body strong, Mudras* (Yoga Symbols) make the body stable, Balanced Diet* (Pratyahar) results in patience, Breathing Exercises* (Pranayamas) make the body light, Dhyana*(meditation) results in mental control. Control over the mind is the way to achieve nirvana.
